Completely understand. As usual I expect a really small crowd. I'm looking forward to the Dayton game as well. Nice, knowledgeable fans and we'll get to see some really good basketball......from Dayton.

I certainly understand the apathy, because I'm starting to feel the same way; but I'm not sure what kind of message it sends our current players and incoming recruits to "boycott" the games. I think we all agree Paulsen is here at least another season, so I think we all need to dig deep to support the players while still speaking up about our dissatisfaction with the direction of the program. The two aren't mutually exclusive. (Just a thought, not a lecture.)

This is why I'm considering earmarking my donation to the basketball facility, because that is a long-term project that will benefit the men's and women's basketball team no matter who the coach is five years from today (I may also look at donating into a scholarship fund).

I do not think people are making a point of of boycotting. Its just not worth spending people hard earned money and time on a bad product. Unless mason commits to winning, attendance should continue to plummet.

"Unlike the recent sold out conference games at SBU and vcu, this contest will likely not be in a really hostile environment. GMU is drawing just 3,839 at the 10k seat on campus EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, VA. Had only 2,652 for their last home game against UMass last Wednesday. Would not expect a big uptick this Wednesday with the Patriots coming off a loss and a stretch of games where they have gone just 2-6.

GMU, like SBU this past weekend, will also be without one of its better players. Senior guard Justin Kier has since January 15th been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a foot injury."

Paulsen could win back a lot of fan favor if he brought in Mountain Dew as an account for George Mason. Home games could be played at the Mountain Dew Center and GMU could have a couple of neon jerseys, all colors matching with the colors of the Mountain Dew flavors. They're wearing their Baja Blast jerseys at Home Coming.
