“Introducing the Mason Hoops Pass - a new, mobile-only ticket package option for George Mason Basketball fans. The Mason Hoops Pass gets you access to every 2018-19 regular season home game, for only $19.95 per month! To purchase your Mason Hoops Pass, click here.”

Have you guys seen this? What are your thoughts? I put my money down for 2 Top of the Nation season tickets this year. I’m thinking I should’ve just purchased this monthly pass instead. Not sure if the pass is by calendar month (5 in this season) or renewed based on date of first purchase, which could reduce this season to 4 payments of $19.95.

Don't knock the ladies, they reached a post season tournament last season. Something the men's team hasn't done since 2011.

no offense to those of you with daughters but I would rather watch paint dry... women's soccer, volleyball etc are all more fun to watch than basketball.

I've been to 3 women's games in the last several months (women's last home game, their NIT game and the Mystics finals game). All were fun atmospheres and were great times. Most of my favorite things about being a season ticket holder are seeing the other fans I've grown to know over the years (including the Green Room bartender who was slinging hops on the concourse for the mystics game), grabbing some food/drink before/after the game and just going to the event. You get all of that with women's games at a much lower price and often much better seats.

I agree watching a women's game (even WNBA) is not as exciting, athleticism wise, as watching even a high level high school game because you don't have AJ bouncing a block off the backboard out of nowhere to stop a fast break, alley oop dunks, etc. But for me the reality is I just don't have the free time to attend both men's and women's games.

Volleyball (both men's and women's) is an underrated spectator sport.

The lesser athleticism actually helps soccer, I think, because creativity and passing shines in the women's game and that's something everyone can appreciate. It also helps to have goalkeepers who can't cover the entire net in the way men's keepers sometimes can.

I admit to having never gone to a women's game live, but I've watched a few on TV and don't think it's watching paint dry level of boring.

Absolutely agreed with volleyball. They had the green machine at the women's game on Friday and it was a great environment and contributed to the women upsetting GW (upset b/c our women's team is bad and GW is mediocre).

We are actually up 2-0 in the revolutionary rivalry!

Hard enough to get casual fans to pay $18 or $20 some bucks for one game can't imagine this same group of people want a subscription each month for $20.

I don't think this is aimed at walk-ups, but rather people who might want season tickets, but can't afford them.

At the very least it encourages the fan who may want to attend two games a month and can’t afford season tickets an opportunity to attend.

The athletic dept deserves credit for their creativity in trying to get more butts in the seats with various cost options.

Female basketball is a joke. This was for a berth in the FF FFS.

I'm not a fan either but I don't consider them a joke. They also balance an exahustive season with maintianing their academic responsibilites and in most cases much better than the men.

We could cherry pick any number of missed layups by the men to prove a point as well.

I'm also pretty sure both of us would be on the wagon if the Mason women by some miracle ended up in the NCAA tournament and actually won a game or two.

You don't have to hate everyhting you don't like.

Nah, and I def don't "hate" it. It's just a joke to me. I do, however, enjoy watching the ladies play soccer and volleyball. Nice tight, and thankfully feminine looking figures out there.

I love watching college women’s volleyball - and the wife is happy to indulge in this dirty little past time because she likes volleyball

Speaking of that - has anyone receive their season tickets? Paid mine in full on August and didn’t get them.

Probably not sent yet. They said you could get them early in person if you attend the scrimmage next weekend.
