Miami Marlins 1B and Mason baseball alum Justin Bour will be one of 8 players participating in the MLB Home Run Derby tomorrow night at 8pm in Miami as part of the All Star Game festivities.

It's an 8-player bracket, with Bour seeded 7th against Yankees rookie phenom and #2 seed Aaron Judge.

Pretty stupid formatting by MLB if you ask me. Robbed us of seeing Bour (2nd highest HR total) after the first round. Great job on Bour's part though!

The new format seemed like genius last season, because it fixed a lot of other issues, but Bour exposed one major flaw in the current format. I'm not sure what the answer is.

Nice, not a single Mason reference during the derby (but understandable since they didn't talk about any other college).

Bour killed it, shame he got paired with Judge.
