There is nothing to complain about at the moment, so why not bring up mascots... I finally accepted Gunston is never coming back. I know a lot of people thought it was a stupid Mascot, but I thought it was awesome to have something unique.

Does anyone want to see Gunston make an appearance at homecoming?

This one is way creepier than the original.

Some new outfits for the original and a makeover might have worked.

The patriot is just as scary to kids. You're not going to please everyone. I'd have gone with originality and unique over standard blah

I disagree. This particular decision has an impact on more than a few Mason students. Their faculty and fellow students care about their welfare and the president of the university needs to inform the community of the steps being taken in support of these student who now face uncertain futures.

A one-page email is certainly appropriate. By my count, including this one, I've gotten 7 general emails from Cabrera in the 8 months since Trump was inaugurated. Four of those was to announce the deaths of Roger Wilkins, George Johnson, Charles Cogan (a Va legislator who supported Mason), and a conflict resolution grad student who was killed by a suicide bomber in Afganistan. I'm guessing that Cabrera disagrees with more than 3 things that Trump has done since January!
