Lancers could give us trouble. Former W&M coach Tony Shaver's son (who was previously at W&M) is an assistant for Longwood. Longwood HC Griff Aldrich played and coached for Shaver as well at Hampden-Sydney. Shaver knew how to coach against Paulsen. Longwood might have a good game plan going in but may not execute as well as W&M though. It all will depends on how we defend the 3.

I wouldn’t sleep on Longwood. They have good size and return all their backcourt starters. They could give Mason trouble especially if they start hitting 3s. They just hit 63% shooting last game- against a D3 team but still- if Mason starts out sloppy and LU gets on a roll this could be an upset.

Considering Mason's current condition, I don't think any loss would be considered an "upset" of a shaky team with no healthy seniors.
