AU does have the pre season Patriot League player of the year, Sa'eed Nelson. He averaged 18.6 PPG last season.

Sam Iorio averaged 14.9 PPG/6.5 RPG last season. Larry Motuzis averaged 14.6 PPG/4.7 RPG.

This should be an easy win. The Captain Obvious report says that we will need to improve our 3 pt shooting, currently 3-25 (12%). Our assist to turnover numbers in the exhibition and 1st game are also horrible. 38 TO to 14 assists. Take care of the ball, sustain defensive intensity, and shoot better we win big. That being said we are dealing with home court disadvantage. GMU by 1.

Hoping last night serves as a wake up call that we have to play some defense. With our depth, there is no reason why our starters can't turn up the intensity on the defensive end. If they end up playing a few less minutes because of it, so be it. It will make us better in the long run.

He needs to grab his minutes back from the underclassmen. Not sure what is going on in the background but we need him to be a 30 min guy again.

He also picked up 2 fouls in the first 1:30 of the game.

If the number of travel calls is in the double digits again, we will have dificulty blowing out special olympics teams much less a division I scholarship team. We had 15 travel violations against Penn.

Travel calls for the most part unforced errors. Not caused by the opponenets great defense, but just boneheaded plays. I could see if it was just one player or even two but the entire team travels. Travel calls are momentum killers.

This is a systematic problem that Paulsen needs to look at and see what is at the core of this problem. Team seems to be thinking too much, hesitant. I honestly feel if we had 7 or less travel calls this game, we would have won ................... and even 7 is way to damn many.
