St. Louis had our number last year. They always seem to match up well against us. Do we let down after a big win last night or do we take a step forward? The ride continues. Mason by 2.

I'm not sure if this is a pattern, but it's seems we drain the tank in getting a win. So much on the shoulders of Otis and Grayer, Kier. We could lose. We might win. Depends on energy level.

I watched their game against Rhode Island the other night. They only run 7 deep so they have even less depth than we do. Their big man French will give us problems down low and their guard Jalen Johnson always seems to play well against us. This will be a tough game, I'm guessing Kier will be tasked with guarding their Michigan State transfer Javon Bess.

Before last night's game, kenpom has us as 1 pt underdogs; now we're listed as a 1 pt favorite.
Rpiforecast has it as a toss-up.

Some chance at a Chic-fil-A game; they are below 70% from the line both in-conference and for the year.

Not that we're going to do anything this season, but we need to take the next two games. We'll be lucky to take one of the three against Duq, vcu, and St. Bonnie following this pair.

Part of experience is winning games you need to. Would like to see that aspect develop...

Be nice to post a winning record in the A10 even if it is short-lived.

Coin toss on Saturday's winner.

Offensively - be nice to see more help from those without the ball when our guys are drivng to the basket. Several times Boyd and Grayer were stopped on the block without a natural pitch or safety valve near them.

Washingtonian is providing a great service to Mason fans by providing just about everything we need as Mason basketball addicts to read and follow the team in one concise post.

He is doing it for free. The Mason administration could could take a cue from him and try to do a bit better OR hire his a**!

Yes indeed! Thank you Washingtonian!

BTW, where's Petey Buckets? I looked forward to his weekly analyses.

If they only run 7 deep, you have to figure we attack the basket and get French in foul trouble. Boyd seems like he could draw a lot of contact but has only shot a handful of free throws all year.

I expect Otis will keep driving and they know that, so Kier and Boyd will have to be the ones to get French out.

Getting two wins in a row would be great and I really want to shake the losing streak against them. But, I think every game for us the rest of the year is 50/50.

I’ll stay optimistic, 61-66 Mason
