Actually it was a fun day - the team even went into the stands and shook little hands.

I got a call yesterday from the ticket office that they're upgrading my ticket to get me away from a kid section. He laughed at my request for the same for the vcu game. All good.

If you can't bring the marching band, just bring the dance team! That's what a dance team ought to look like. But as a father of two sons who marched at Robinson Secondary School, which had one of the best, if not the best, marching bands in the state, I can appreciate the hard work and musicianship that goes into a production. Those kids started marching training in mid-August, with two-a-days for the first week. Quite a production...but it pays off with top awards at the big marching band competitions.

I hope the team doesn't lose its mojo after the 10 day lay off and/or look ahead to vcu. PVAMU looks like an easy win but I'm sure Fresno St. thought the same thing when they played them at home and lost. Stay focused and put them away.

I don't think the mojo would wear off for a game against your biggest rival, in vcu. That should be one the team is fired up for.
