2024 Atlantic 10 Coaches’ Wins and Salaries: Keith Dambrot truly is the epitome of MORE with LESS. Anthony Grant was the best example of a big salary coach making it well worth it for his institution.

Now this is an interesting graphic. Nothing groundbreaking here but its obvious what its saying

1) most coaches in the A10 are in the 1m-2m range with the most experienced coaches like Mooney/Martin Odom, being closer to 2m. The coaches with Skinn like experience (Caputo, Valentine) are right in the same vicinity cost wise.
2) Not sure how they calculated Caputo's salary to be slightly hire than Tony's, but perhaps its because they included part of Christian's buyout
3) As Tony gets more experience, Mason will absolutely need to pay Tony and staff more to continue to be competitive in the A10. Obviously this is based off of Tony getting 950k. Details on his new contract haven't come out, but I suspect he went over the 1m threshold. If this season goes as well as many think/hope, I would expect Tony to be closer to what Martin and Odom get. But we can cross the bridge when we get there.
4) Fran Dunphy has been coaching a long time, and is being paid well under his market value. He must be doing Lasalle a favor because he isn't even in the ballpark of 1m and hes been coaching longer than many of us have been alive.

Dunphy is a LaSalle graduate and one of their all-time greats. He also has a faculty/teaching spot. He is there because he loves his alma mater.

Trivia time: Besides Dunphy, who are the other 3 A-10 MBB grad coaches who are currently working for their alma mater?

(Note: If you don’t get at least one of them without help from Google, turn in your fan card :))
