Now that the roster is set for next season what do we think is the starting 5 when we open up the season in Nov? No matter what it will be a very experienced group. Johnson and Maddox are guaranteed and I think Anderson, Billups, and Haynes are the other likely starters. Will be interesting to see if Haynes and Emejeru play together.

Think this needs to be in a new thread.

KD Johnson
Jared Billups
Darius Maddox
Zach Anderson
Jalen Haynes

I will say that I do think Billups will play less of a role this year even if he "starts". I can see him being a 10-15 minute guy because he is limited offensively. This also assumes he doesn't dramatically improve.

But I also think that a guy like a Oconnor or Ball will need time before they take the starting role/more minutes.

I would love for Ball to take a jump forward this year and start with Maddox and Anderson and play 20 minutes a game or whatever.

Slightly OT: I ran into Jalen Haynes at Walgreens last week... that dude is a mountain. Sure, he's as tall as we'd all expect, but you get a new appreciation for him when you realize how structurally big he is. So excited to finally see him on the court!

I'm expecting to get double figures in points from Haynes, Anderson, and Maddox. I can also see a bunch of guys averaging in the 7-9 range due to our depth (at least on paper). So if Johnson struggles at the point I can see him playing the 2 with Billups and pretty much split the minutes evenly with a defensive mind set. I also see our starting line-up being fluid depending on the opponent. Need to go big? Start Haynes and Emejuru. Need to matchup smaller and quicker? Adjust accordingly. One thing is certain, minutes will have to be earned this season more than any in recent history. I just want to see wins.

He is going to put some dudes in the third row of end zone seats for sure. Looking forward to it.
