Dukes Fend Off RedHawks' Late Rally To Advance in WNIT

Oxford, Ohio – The Duquesne women's basketball team held off a late rally by Miami (Ohio) on Sunday afternoon, securing a 73-66 victory in the second round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) at Millett Hall. With the win, the Dukes improved their record to 21-12 on the season.

Watched much of the Richmond game vs UCLA. The Spiders played at a very high level, particularly in the first half. Betts, all 6-7 of her started to dominate in the second half and Richmond went cold.

However, Maggie Doogan is terrific. Unfortunately for us, she's only a junior, as is Ullstrom, so they figure to be very strong next year as well.

We’ve got a few underclassman too: Kennedy Harris, Zahirah Walton, Louis Volker. Hopefully all three come back because that’s a pretty formidable trio.

Hopefully Coach Blair-Lewis can reload with a few transfers and develop a few of the freshmen/sophomores for depth. I think we have a 6’5 freshman forward coming in next year, which if she’s college ready would be huge.

Agreed! She and the staff have brought in some really good talent and the trajectory of our program has been an amazing accomplishment!

Frittering away time watching GW vs Boise State in Crown tournament. "Crowd" numbers in the dozens. FS1 announcers trying to talk up how good the teams are as they shoot a combined 3-15 and each team has a 4 minute drought. "Excellent defensive scouting by both teams!"

9-3 GW at the under 12.

Doesn't involve any A10 teams, but I watched the NIT finals between Chattanooga and UC-Irvine. Very exciting game throughout and some missed opportunities in the last minute particularly. Here's a summary:
