usa-today-8935887_0Lead by another dominant performance from Shevon Thompson, the Patriots have posted their second win over a power conference foe in as many days.  Thompson put up 20 points and pulled down 17 rebounds, while freshman Jaire Grayer hit 5 three-pointers on his way to 23 points overall.  George Mason outlasted Oklahoma State through the overtime period and closed out the 71-68 victory.

Both teams looked like they had this won in regulation.

Oklahoma State used a 19-5 run in the second half to build a 41-31 lead on Olivier’s inside bucket with 11:09 remaining.

But George Mason answered with a 25-10 rally to move in front 56-51 in the final minute. That’s when Joe Burton hit a jumper and a straightaway 3-pointer to tie the game once more with 16.2 seconds to go.

Otis Livingston’s long 3-point try at the buzzer went in and out to bring overtime.
