FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason redshirt junior forward Paris Bennett will graduate next month and pursue other playing opportunities next season, head men’s basketball coach Paul Hewitt announced Wednesday. Bennett will be eligible to play immediately during the 2013-14 season, when he will work towards a graduate degree.
“I would like to thank Paris for his dedication and hard work over the last few years,” said Hewitt. “We wish him well moving forward.”
Bennett, who will earn his bachelor’s degree in sports management in May, played four seasons with the Patriots. The Linden, N.J., native appeared in 76 games, including one as a starter. He averaged 1.7 points and 1.5 rebounds per appearance, including career highs of 2.7 points and 1.9 rebounds in 10.3 minutes per game this past season.
