Mason to play at Penn on December 10

George Mason will play the Penn Quakers at the historic Palestra on Saturday, December 10, according to NYC Buckets. Last season, the Quakers visited Fairfax on December 5, falling 63-44 to the Patriots as Jaire Grayer poured in 20 points, and Dave Paulsen’s squad held the visitors to 16 points on 24% shooting in the first half. This season will mark the first-ever visit to the 90-year-old Palestra for George Mason, who are 2-0 all time against the Quakers, with the other win coming in January 2014 (also in Fairfax). The game offers a great opportunity for Mason fans to visit what is often called the Cathedral of College Basketball.

Penn joins a tough non-conference road slate for the Patriots which will also include games at Northern Iowa (Nov. 30) and Penn State, and a trip to Southwest Florida for the Gulf Coast Showcase.
