The day we’ve all been waiting for has arrived.  The day that George Mason University formally sheds the “mid-major” tag.  Join me in congratulating fellow Mason fans who have been along on the journey, congratulating those who have supported the program, and congratulating those who have worked so hard to get GMU to a place in collegiate athletics where they can be considered to move up to higher levels of competition.  Thank you to each player who has donned the green and gold, each Coach who pushed their teams to new heights. Thank you to those in the Administration who saw the value of athletics to our school and the opportunities sports played at higher levels can bring.
