With two scholarships available for the 2013 class, George Mason coach Paul Hewitt took a step to fill one of the roster spots.

On Wednesday, Coach Hewitt offered 6’2 Marquise Moore a scholarship. Moore, who we mentioned last week, was formally committed to Hofstra University until former coach Moe Cassara was let go.

NYCHoops.net reports that Hewitt was there to see Moore last week at an open gym and left impressed.  Fairfield has also offered and Creighton has recently shown interest.

Moore is planning on visiting Fairfax soon and will possibly schedule more visits in the coming weeks.

*UPDATE*

Adam Zagoria is reporting that Moore will be coming to vist George Mason this Monday and them Tulane later in the week. Providence and UConn are also in the picture.
