Julian Royal to Visit Mason this Weekend

On the heels of Marquise Moore’s recent commitment to George Mason, the staff is hoping for some more good news. This weekend, 6’8 forward Julian Royal is scheduled to be in Fairfax on his official visit.

Royal played his first two years at Georgia Tech, but is looking to make a move. Paul Hewitt hopes he can seal the deal for the second time with Royal, as he was the coach that recruited Royal to Georgia Tech.

Yesterday, Rod Mackenzie who contributes on gojackets.com, tweeted that Royal is focusing on Vanderbilt and Mason. Also yesterday, Vanderbilt received their second commitment for the 2013 class, both of  them forwards. Could this help Mason’s cause? It can’t hurt.
