Interview with play-by-play voice Bill Rohland

Posted In News - By Brian Wright On Monday, December 22nd, 2014 With 0 Comments

Bill Rohland began his broadcasting career while as a student at George Mason and has spent 16 seasons as a radio announcer of the Patriots’ men’s basketball team – his last nine on play-by-play.

In that span, Rohland has witnessed the program go from a relative obscurity in the early 1990s to a national sensation in 2006 to a current member of the Atlantic 10 Conference.

With extensive first-hand knowledge, there aren’t many better to discuss the transformation and current state of Mason hoops than someone who has ties to the school dating back to 1989. MasonHoops.com sat down with Rohland prior to the Patriots’ victory against Catawba on Dec. 17.
