The Lebanon Valley men’s basketball team released its 2016-17 regular-season schedule Monday.

The opener will be unlike any Dutchmen tip-off in 30 years.

On Nov. 15, LVC is set to visit George Mason for the program’s first game against a Division I school since 1986, when it faced Bucknell. Head coach Brad McAlester, soon to enter his 23rd year on the sidelines, cemented the meeting months before D-1 programs typically come calling for lower-division opponents to play them in exhibitions.

This opener, however, will count toward the regular-season records of both teams.
