Taylor Brown, a red-shirt junior guard on the George Mason women’s basketball team, is getting a lot of love this week. Last Sunday, she hit a layup at the buzzer to defeat La Salle, 73-71, in Philadelphia, and Wednesday night, she connected on a trey at the buzzer to force overtime in a game the Mason women would ultimately win 68-55 at the Patriot Center over a stunned St. Bonaventure team.

The Georgetown transfer is making a name for herself as a big time scorer, averaging 23.5 points per game, which continues to rank fourth in all of Division 1 and first in the Atlantic 10 conference.

Brown was interviewed by ABC7 Sports, which aired their feature last night.

The Lady Patriots go back on the road Sunday for a nationally televised game at noon on ESPNU against the Richmond Spiders.
