HOT: Field House Is Undergoing $5 Million Renovation

The Field House, the foundation of George Mason University Athletics, is undergoing a $5 million renovation over the summer. The facility is home to an indoor track, locker rooms, basketball courts, indoor multipurpose space, the Frank Pettrone Center for Sports Performance and coaches’ and administrative offices. On completion, the Field House will boast several new features, including a new canopy front entrance, a brand-new strength and conditioning center, a remodeled lobby, side promenade and upgrades throughout the 110,000-square-foot facility.

About - Chris Metsala is a George Mason alumnus and was one of the founders of the original site in 1998, which later became Chris has attended almost every home game and CAA Tournament from the Ernie Nestor years to present, and covered the team during the 2006 Final Four run. He currently lives in Northern Virginia.
