Charleston-All-TeamsGeorge Mason and ESPN Events announced yesterday that the Patriots will be a part of the eight team 2015 Gildan Charleston Classic on November 19, 20, and 22, 2015 at TD Arena in Charleston, SC. The other seven teams rounding out the field will be Bradley, Long Beach State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Seton Hall, Towson and Virginia, with exact match-ups and bracketing to be announced later.

2015 will mark the second year in a row that the Patriots make the return trip to an early season tournament. Mason appeared in the 2010 Charleston Classic, and the 2009 and (ongoing) 2014 Puerto Rico Tip-Offs. Their participation in the Charleston Classic has been at least two years in the making (Tom O’Connor first mentioned it in a WGMU radio interview in late 2012) and could be a sign that the program is establishing a five-year rotation among some of the premier destination tournaments.
