With one scholarship currently available and others possibly opening, George Mason is focusing on the point guard position with the available 2013 scholarship.

Last week, 6’4″ PG Devin Wilson made his way to Fairfax for an official visit. Wilson, from Montour High School outside of Pittsburgh, has recently narrowed his list to George Mason, St. Joe’s, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia. Wilson plans to visit St. Joe’s this weekend and make a decision shortly after.

A new name has also emerged as a serious candidate for the point guard spot – meet 6’3″ Jalen James (pictured), a Chicago native that played last year at La Lumiere School in Indiana. James originally committed to the University of Illinois, but when Bruce Weber was fired last season, James decided to open up his recruitment. James is currently scheduled to be on George Mason’s campus the first weekend in May. He also has visits scheduled to both San Jose State and Cleveland State.  No word yet if he will use his last two visits, but he currently has offers from Alabama, Tulane, Auburn, Arkansas, Charleston, and Western Kentucky.
