Another win by the women today... 15-4 record now
Women lose to Duquesne by 7. http://www.goduquesne.com/gametrack...ol=duqu&sport=wbaskbl&camefrom=&startschool=&
Had a lead through halftime. Double-double for Butler. Duquesne is undefeated in the conference..
That's a frustrating loss for the Women, missed a big opportunity to pull of a road win against possibly the best team in the conference.
Had to fight hard for it, but Mason women win 81-72 over Saint Louis at home tonight. 16-5 record now, most wins for the women's basketball team since the 2003-2004 season
Fordham wins 67-62.
Tough loss. Couldn't put them away at the end. Fordham's a really good team. Yet another double-double for Butler, though.
Managed to see the last 5 minutes. 2,000+ people--Girl Scouts promotion; biggest crowd in 4 years according to the gomason story on the game:
Women beat the Bonnies last night by a score of 76-63, and will have a winning season for the first time since 2003-04:
The women looked good on tv yesterday, pulling away from st. joes. Natalie dominated (27 & 16).
GW does a season sweep.
Why can't either team ever beat GW?
This has been going on since the 1700's. George Washington used to regularly beat George Mason at Whist when they played at Gunston Hall or Mount Vernon.
I could imagine...George Washington was so tall, he could peer right over and look at the cards Mason was holding.
Hahaha!!!! Very true!
Natalie Butler with 30 pts and 19 rebounds in a win against UMass in a game a bit closer than expected.
I am not sure if this a "for fun" survey, but Natalie is on the list.
Mason beats VCU in Richmond by a score of 65-42, Butler with another double double (12 points, 11 rebounds).
So this is an interesting thread and I want everyone's thoughts because I feel the esteemed braintrust here will have a clearer perspective than me.
I have gone to as many women's games this year as mens and found myself enjoying them quite a bit. It also seems that the women are doing very well and the coach is good.
Is the women's program improving as much as I think it has and does everyone else enjoy having a nice balance here?
