That's a great story and seems like a great kid, but his defense at the 3:00 mark is atrocious!

Just saw something on Twitter about Justin being on crutches today after suffering a knee injury during last night's game.

I couldn't find any details online, so hoping it's not serious.

Just went back and watched Justin's highlights from his sophomore and junior years and I wonder if Paulsen recruited him as a PG? Kid has a real strong handle and fantastic court vision. Also seems like a good shooter and got to the rim at will. Real excited about our new guards and can't wait to see how they help out next season.

Justin had 19 points in his first game back from a knee injury, leading Spotswood to a victory over Lee-Staunton.

Freshman guard Justin Kier is averaging 5.7 rebounds per game. This is higher than any JMU player, a program which for some inexplicable reason failed to offer Justin a scholarship.

Justin Kier is shooting 40.0% (8-20) behind the arc, which ties him for the team lead this season in this stat with Kameron Murrell. In the first 8 games, Justin was just 2-13 (15.4%) in 3-pt. FG's. In the last 6 games, he's shooting 85.7% (6-7) which includes his current streak of 5 consecutive 3-pt. FGM.

Kier has quietly been a very efficient scorer, albeit on low volume. He takes good shots, doesn't force anything, and gets to the free throw line a lot. He's basically only shooting threes when he's wide open. He's been fantastic in the 5th starter/6th man role. Great find by Dave and the staff.
