One positive is that our coaching staff clearly knows how to teach the game and develop players.

Our three freshman reserves have improved by leaps and bounds over their first 10 games. That only happens with hard work and effective skill development in practice.

10a. In two rounds of A-10 conference play, home teams are 13-1. George Mason is the only team in the league to win on the road in the opening week of the conference slate.

      10. Otis Livingston II with a career-high 33 points to lead George Mason to an overtime defeat of Massachusetts. Most points for a Patriot since Sherrod Wright had 34 against Saint Louis in 2014.

VCU just got the ever-livin crap kicked out of them by Dayton and their old coach Anthony Grant 79 to 106.

That felt pretty positive to me!

It's only 5 games into conference play, but we have a winning record.

Last time we could say that as a program was January 15, 2013 in a come-from-behind win against James Madison.

FAIRFAX, Va. -- Sherrod Wright netted 23 points and Marko Gujaniciccollected his first career double-double as George Mason dominated inside in a 68-57 win over James Madison in Colonial Athletic Association action Tuesday night.

The Patriots (10-7, 3-2) held a 48-29 edge in rebounds, led by Gujanicic's career-high 10 boards. The freshman also added 10 points.

These positives are starting to hurt, lodged directly up my ass.

    They're getting bigger and bigger.

I feel like ACW being lured into 99's old van.

In today's print edition the article is splashed on p. 1 of the sports section with a big picture of Butler playing against GW. The article continues on p. 4 with another picture the remaining 5 columns.

But no mention of tonight's men's game against GW is anywhere to be found. Curious to see if the Post has someone at that game or just continues to use AP coverage.

Can someone let me know if the Post is there? If they are, bet heavy on GW. If not, put the money on Mason.

    The Post is our jinx.

So I’ll happily admit when I’m wrong (well, I wasn’t wrong, but the team has improved) and I’m happy the offense no longer looks devoid of ideas. Yeah, it sucks we come out flat and our defense is still shaky at best. But I much prefer watching the Duquesne game to some of our early season games where we just swung it around the arc for 28 seconds. Lots of room for improvement but at least we’re getting some good looks and getting more guys involved.
