Nobody doesn't like Reagan, silly!
Who liked Reagan?
Reagan was the man
I and my whole family did. Greatest President since Washington and Coolidge.
But no one can ever match the greatness of this man's admin:
emailing Allen Meertown about this now...
It's actually in the written contract that the arena can be referred to as either "EagleBank Arena George Mason Universiy and/or EagleBank Arena at George Mason University".
So both are correct usage.
I will continue to call it the Patriot Center (sponsored by Eaglebank).
Reagan was the original Smackdown champ. Just ask the Soviets.
I agree. And because of this, I do not believe anyone should call it "The Nest" or "The Vault" or, God forbid, "EagleBank Arena George Mason University". It is "EagleBank Arena at George Mason University" and should not be called anything else because that is what all the fans and everyone else know it by. I know if I hear anyone call it by any other name other than "EagleBank Arena at George Mason University" I will promptly be calling the "George Mason University Department of Police and Public Safety", because they are different from the "George Mason University Police Department" and will certainly apprehend those responsible for mis-representing the name of the "EagleBank Arena at George Mason University".
Must..... call.... George Mason University Department of Police and Public Safety!!!!
The sign is a pairing of a title and a subtitle. I doubt anyone is going to read the sign and think that the arena is called anything other than simply "EagleBank Arena." And that's all the name that's needed for someone who presumably already knows that they are at George Mason University, otherwise they would not be reading the sign. It's only when the arena is spoken off away from campus that some definition of where it's located will become relevant.
(gotta love the off season...)
Tomorrow's the last day of the Patriot Center. Long live the Patriot Center!
This is sad for me. I worked at the Patriot Center since the beginning and held summer jobs there my senior year and summer after while hunting for a real job. I used to program the old message center on top of the old scoreboard and remember creating the waving flag in the wonderful low-res system using a CP/M computer. I remember helkp painting the logo on various walls and having my Patriot Center operations shirt (I may still have that somewhere.)
It will always be the Patriot Center to me.
Change is difficult. But once you have new sex with the bald eagle, you're golden.
And everyone wants to see the spread
Aren't all the Eagles bald these days? I hear that is the trend.
