Will Wade might be in a bit of trouble http://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...sed-improper-benefits-recruit-transcript-says
That takes some balls. What could he possibly have to even think about doing that? As a lawyer - what was he thinking basically blackmailing Nike? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Interesting radio interview on Fox Sports Radio with Avenatti: https://foxsportsradio.iheart.com/c...tti-drops-bombshells-on-outkick-the-coverage/ I've not followed this closely, but he makes a good point that Nike hasn't denied any of the accusations, they simply tried to discredit the messenger.
The fact that he refused to meet and talk a month ago and no all of a sudden will makes him look even more guilty. His party probably wanted to wait and see if more evidence would surface and now they probably think there's not enough to make a case against him. I hope he gets his karma.
I mean... he was on a recorded call talking in detail about paying recruits. He was wheelin' and dealin' like a stock market broker. I can't imagine any scenario where he will completely exonerated. The SEC sans Vanderbilt just doesn’t give a f*ck.
https://www.espn.com/mens-college-b...6/lsu-ad-says-wade-coach-hbo-documentary-airs I didnt get to see 'The Scheme' that aired last night. We can argue Will Wade should've been fired last year, but I don't know why LSU should have to fire him now, because the documentary aired last night. What he said on the tape was already reported. The Feds and the NCAA knew what he said. At this point, LSU isnt going to make a move unless the NCAA forces their hand. I did like this quote from Dawkins: "He not only didn't get charged for anything, not only did the government have all of this information and evidence and nothing was happening on a criminal level, he also basically just said f--- you to the NCAA and the university he worked for ... and he still got to keep his job and make millions of dollars. It's like the perfect storm. "Will Wade is definitely a f---ing gangster for what he did."
Saw this yesterday, wish schools could all be on the same playing field unfortunately it’s all a business. Jayson Tatum says he might’ve still gone to Duke instead of taking $500K in the G League. Bradley Beal: "So Duke gave you $600K?" Tatum: "Hey, Duke might be the only stand-up school in the country." Beal: "Listen man, I was born, but I wasn’t born yesterday." https://twitter.com/fredkatz/status/1251351851989184518?s=21
If Tatum came from a family that was well-off enough to wait a year, I think it makes sense. https://twitter.com/boettger_eli/status/1251300597254328321 Even if the G League paid Jalen Green $1 million, falling from No. 1 to No. 2 in the draft — whether it's due to lack of exposure or underwhelming performance — could cost Green over $2.5 million. This isn't six figures vs. room and board. https://heatcheckcbb.com/2020/04/17...uld-cost-prospects-like-jalen-green-millions/
