But muh sources!!!
Patriot Club bartender was the source for 22 wins last year I heard
lol I get you, but I have to think Ian changed his mind especially when the opportunity presented itself. That’s what I always heard, that he wanted a change.
I talk to various folks and that was the consistent message I got for what it’s worth.
Ian returning plus the new offer today to the Mt. Zion kid makes me think that we will have a few more defections soon.
He wasn’t coming back. Now he is. Things change and always will.
Wow, stunning news. Welcome back Ian!!!
Who, though? Can’t imagine any of the rising 4 year players are leaving (Greene, Calixte, Mar) why sit one just to play one? Could be either AJ or Hartwell (both of either would be unfortunate) or one of the sophomores (but can’t imagine Dady sitting two years in a row unless he really hates it here or XJ or Oduro who are almost assuredly starters).
I have no info but if I had to guess Hartwell would be the candidate.
That would really sting if he goes. Who’s our backup PG in that situation?
Most people are assuming the NCAA is going to eliminate the sit-out rule. Guys are putting their names in the portal and planning to be immediately eligible.
Point is Jim. When you, me and others say we know for a fact things and it doesn’t happen we all look pretty damn stupid. I got this wrong from my guy you got it wrong from your guy. We look stupid. No defending being flat out wrong lol
Happy to have him but very sad about possibility of Kier and/or Hartwell being gone. Putting a lot of eggs into the basket of a true freshman being our best shooter. Because we don’t have a ton of outside threats
Kier is returning also. Mar, Hartwell, and Dady might be out/redshirted.
Not how redshirting works so that means they are leaving
And we don’t have a good track record under Paulsen of good shooters from HS translating to being good shooters in the college game. It’s a lot to ask from a true freshman.
You definitively know that Kier is coming back? Because after Ian making everyone look like fools, seems like a bold statement.
Not to mention it depends on the NCAA granting him eligibility.
I’m happy to be wrong in this case ... just pointing out that circumstances change. These are fluid situations.
