Surely they can put a sportsbook in Brions Grille.
I agree. Start of the NFL season at the latest. That being said, I would expect to see NJ up and running by this weekend.
You all notice that the Vegas Golden Knights stole Mason's ol' "hand-crank-siren bit"? Bring back the siren!
If you think that's original to Mason you might want to leave Fairfax every once in awhile.
Uhhh... well, maybe if you... just... eat some poo!
Even our fight song is basically 5 other school’s songs mashed into one.
And our name, the George Madison Washington fighting Patriotic Colonial Masons
Concur - I leave my gambling for the stock market.
Or, everytime I order out.
I know this isn't the right thread for my comment, but I also didn't think it deserved it's own thread
I wish that we would/could see more digital content during summer workouts. Even if it was a 15-30 second clip once a week set to music of the guys working out, or conditioning, or getting shots up, or even highlights from last season. I know that they already do the player weeks, and I really like those, but those don't really pump me up for the season.
I did a practicum in the SID office back in 2012; which totally makes me an expert, and I know that Jeff O'Bier was basically a one-man-band when it came to anything digital content related, so I say this with at least a sliver of understanding of how much "stuff" he, and the rest of the communications department has to do in covering 20+ sports.
It would just be cool to see something like this once in a while:
I agree, but when when our social media staff has set up weeks featuring players where fans can ask questions, and you can count the number of questions asked by fans on one hand, it’s hard to justify doing more.
Chicken or the egg argument...I say err on the side of too much engagement rather than too little.
Two different things. If our fans were pumped, maybe it would generate more social media communication.
Our student section will now be referred to as The G-Force. Thoughts?
Better than Patriot Platoon I guess, but the cliche' answer is that it doesn't matter what it is called, matters if it is filled!
Once again changing up something that’s been around for 20 years and has had the same policies and meh around it...nice work
Probably an unpopular opinion: I think "The G-Force" is a horrifically terrible name, and I much prefer the Patriot Platoon.
Having said that, Joe is correct... if they fill the section they can call it whatever the hell they want.
I like this guy
Agreed. That said at the very least with a new name comes rebranding opportunities and things of that nature. They probably could have done the same with the Patriot Platoon, but at the same rate what’s important is getting students to games.
A preview of our student section??
