agreed, from what I saw, definitely some improvement but the a10 is going to be a struggle in my opinion. Hopefully with the depth coming back that’ll help and having 3 games in a week and regular routine will too.

I liked seeing Hartwell and Oduro stepping up today.

they aren’t playing good teams so I’m worried when they play a half decent a10 team or even bottom tier team, but they do have some time to improve.

Pushes don’t count as wins. Maybe it moves you to two team parlay

It should move it to a two team parlay, but the listed win and it still has the old odds and not the adjusted 2 team parlay odds. Strange.

This team is so bad we might as well only play the halftime game against a BRYC team, under 12 that is. We stink on ice. We beat another cupcake. Barely. We have no scheme, no skill, and no desire. We are headed for another 5 - 13 A10 record.

F that!!!! The worse we are, the sooner Paulsen is gone.

Last thing we need is some miracle run to the top half of the A-10 reg season and a run to the semi finals and Brad throws a 2 year extension.

We need this to implode so there's no tap dancing and we can move along.

I don't think anyone on here is satisfied that another few years of this is "what are they doing offense, under recruiting and well if 18 things happen we will be a contender" nonsense.

No one blinks an eye when the family dog has inoperable cancer and the choices are given......if you can't see that in this program currently...you see something I don't.

Well holy hell. Then lets sign an extension now for this achievement.

Careful with the analogies...I can see one of the Cousin Eddies on this board kidnapping and trying to euthanize one of the major players at Mason...

I don't think contender is a reasonable expectation.

I think average to slightly above average in the a-10 is a reasonable expectation. If that's where we end up this year, I will be satisfied.

For those keeping score at home, the missed free throws at the end cost me about $50 on my parlay. Free throws ain’t free.

I mean this is a fair statement and fair expectation based on what we've seen. I just don't know if that is going to happen, because I am not sure I have seen a middle of the pack A10 team play yet. I've seen more of a 9th/10th at best team.

Yeah, sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm not saying that's what I've seen, either, just that if that's where we are at the end of the year, when you are what your record says you are, I'll be satisfied.

You definitely haven't yet. But with a giant two week layoff where we weren't allowed to even practice, let alone play games, people need to understand its not realistic to even expect to have seen it yet.

Not sure I've seen a ton of top half ball from too much of the A10 in general, really, so far.

    All good. I get you.

Yeah, I mean some of this I buy, some of this I don't. I just don't see quality basketball out of Mason, and even if some programs aren't great right now in the A10, I still feel like they are light years beyond Mason in talent and ability. Guess we'll see though. Mason needs to win against Umass on the 30th with a strong showing to give me a glimmer of hope that this team is not headed for the PIG. I'm just jaded and over any and all excuses at this point even if they can be considered reasonable.

My expectation at the beginning of the season was fewer than 10 conference losses (because we don’t know if a full conference schedule is going to be played). And right now I don’t know if that is reasonable. They’ve looked rudderless to start the season.

I dont expect people to judge this year's team/Paulsen in a vacuum. I just think regardless of the team's talent level, you wouldn't see it operate particularly efficiently this December regardless.

But, if the staff can't fix some of the issues you guys are mentioning by early January, at latest, then...

I hear you and that is fine. I'm more or less looking at the body of work, and thats why I'm skeptical but always ready to be proven wrong. I'll be happy to celebrate an 11-7 A10 record or something of that ilk if it comes to pass.
