Towson is currently 0 - 3 on the season.

History: Mason leads the all time series 32 - 11. Since 2002 GMU and Towson have played 21 times. Mason won the first 18 times dominating the rivalry. Towson has won the last three. The last meeting was November 12, 2016, which Towson won 67 - 61 at EBA. The other losses were in 2013 (at Patriot Center - name changed to EBA in 2015) and 2015 (at Towson).

    Wins: None
    Losses: UVA (89-54), SanFrancisco (79-68), Buffalo (74-65)
Canceled/Postponed: Maryland, UMBC, GW, LaSalle, Morgan St.
    They last played on 11/27.

    Schedule: https://towsontigers.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule/2020-21
    Roster: https://towsontigers.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster
    Stats: https://towsontigers.com/documents/2020/11/27/Towson_MBB_Season_Stats_11_27.pdf

Towson is led by 6’4” Zane Martin (19.3 ppg & 4.0 reb) and 6’4” Nicolas Timberlake (11.7 ppg & 3.7 reb). 6’1” Jason Gibson (6.3 ppg) is the only other player on the roster to have started all 3 games. 7’0” Victor Uyaelunmo (5.0 ppg & 8.3 reb) has started two of the three games for Towson.

Towson averages 62.3 points per game while giving up 80.7. The Tigers are shooting 37.6% from the floor and 29.4% from 3. Opponents are shooting 47.9% from the field and 39.8% from 3. Towson shoots 71.2% from the charity stripe. The Tigers are being out rebounded by their opponents by 2.7 boards per game. They average 12.3 turnovers per game.

    The game is on ESPN+.

My prediction: Towson has had a long layoff and did not play well in the first three games. That being said, we have done nothing this year to inspire confidence. Throw in Miller’s suspension and we have Towson 75 - Mason 70. The Tigers winning streak grows to 4.

Does anyone have an extra trench coat to spare just in case?

Actually, it was a trench coat - https://towsontigers.com/news/2016/...dcast-booth-the-mother-of-all-road-trips.aspx:

"At one point, he asked us all to get off the bus. Here we all are standing in this blizzard, watching the bus trying to move. We had a freshman guard by the name of Dre Connor. Dre was from Lauderdale Lakes, Florida and had never seen snow. I was standing next to him as he was calling his mother on her cell phone. I will never forget him saying to his mother "Ma, it looks like the end of the world here. I don't think we're gonna make it through the night."

It was right around that time that Pat Kennedy came up with an idea. Pat always wore the same tan trench coat. He offered the bus driver to put his coat under one of the tires to try and get some traction. At this point the bus driver was game for anything. So Pat puts the coat under the tire and the bus driver hits the gas. Within seconds snow wasn't the only thing flying around, so were the hundreds of shards of Pat Kennedy's beloved trench coat. Back to the drawing board.

I will be there cheering on the guys whilst booing the heck out of Paulsen and maybe Brad depending on how I feel. heard that annoying lady screeching all game on the TV broadcast so I have no doubt you will hear me. Also, we are sitting above Towson bench... might have a GW from last year experience when @tblack33 in a completely quiet Smith Center screamed "Paulsen you suck" during a GW free throw. Every single person in that tiny barn heard it. Even Paulsen had to self medicate with the Diet Dew as he trembled in fear. Can one get kicked out of arena for ferociously booing their own coach? I promise not to cuss

Mason by 5 official prediction though. It will look good enough that @GSII switches back to liking Paulsen for the 17th time in the last 3 weeks while never admitting he is the worst flip flopper known to man

I have no idea how this is going to go. It's nice that Polite played. I didn't watch the game, but did his shot look bad, or was he just not hitting?

stroke looked fine.. he air balled or hit straight backboard the majority of his shots though.

Lot of first game jitters. He's got length, he's got speed and I think he's going to be fine, but for the first game his shots didn't hit the rim. I have no doubt he is going to turn it around.

none of the guards really do so he didn't look particularly strong or weak... definitely not Hartwell or XJ bad on defense from this game but who knows VMI sucked

Nah, there's no doubt DP ain't gonna cut it here. Said that from day he was hired. In game comments aren't indicative of big picture. Try and keep up.

After watching these first 4 games it’s obvious that A-10 play is gonna be rough. I kinda expect when we cut ties with DP it’ll be a full roster gone due to the fact that they can all transfer and not sit.
I will say I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen from Kolek, the kid is a smart player and has a nice confident shot.

Yeah it’s hard to tell who will leave when a coach changes out but especially with new rules I’d expect most will too. Kolek might go, guy is outperforming his high school projections and could probably find a good landing spot. I have enjoyed his game so far this year though, he’s more college ready than I’d expected for a shooter.

Would also really depend on the next coach and their ability to rerecruit any of the players they want to stick around.

I will admit I was excited on day of presser. But soon after the exodus, it was clear, imo, that he couldn't hang in A10.
