Maryland is currently 3 - 0 on the season.

Wins: Old Dominion, Navy, Mount St. Mary's
    Losses:

    Schedule: https://umterps.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule
    Roster: https://umterps.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster
    Stats: https://s3.amazonaws.com/umterps.com/documents/2020/11/27/2021Combined.pdf

Maryland is led by Eric Ayala (16.3 ppg), Daryll Morsell (12.3 ppg and 5.7 reb), and Aaron Wiggins (12.7 ppg), and Donta Scottt (11.o ppg and 5.7 reb). On the young season the Terps average 82.0 points per game while giving up only 60.0. Maryland is shooting 57.2% from the floor and 43.9% from 3. Opponents are shooting 40.1% from the field and 26.3% from 3. Maryland has out rebounded opponents by 9 boards per game.

They were picked #11 in preseason Big 10 polls. To be honest not much is expected of them this year in the Big 10.

The game is on The Big Ten Network.

My prediction: Again, this is supposed to be a down year for the Terps in terms of Big 10 play. They haven’t shown that relative to opponents thus far. We get crushed. Maryland 80 - GMU 55.

Typical buy game. Maryland sleeps the first 10 minutes then wakes up. Mason gives them a glorified practice and gets a nice paycheck.

    Any chance we see polite?

Otherwise I'm not sure how interested I am in watching.

    Good question.

I am hoping with a week off we might see a different AJ.

We'll not see Polite for weeks I imagine.

In this one, good AJ is just about a necessity to have a chance.

Mason keeps this one close, we all over react and give Paulsen another chance.

Screw keeping it close, on paper we should have an okay shot at winning this. No moral victories this year.

Last year, Mason kept it close until UMD switched to zone and they killed us with their length. If the same thing happens which shooting team will show up?

yeah, one thing when it’s like year 3 and he barely has a team, but it’s year 6. Most of the team has played a lot of d1 basketball. No more moral victories, or yay we lost by 5. Time to win.

He could win and I would still want him gone.

If Mason wants to play with the big boys, we need a different style coach and recruiting.

Nah. Winning is winning. If we are in the top 40% of the a10, I don't care what recruiting or what style of play looks like.

Beating a big ten team is beating a big ten team.

    A) Left the team, homesick for PG County I heard

    B) Flew to Paradise Jam wrong location, now stuck in quarantine

    C) Tired of how negative the boards are, doesn't want to play for Mason anymore

    D) Nagging Injury

Won't even be close. We are a bottom tier A10 team that struggled to defend in the recent tournament. They need to really bring it on the boards if they want it to be close...

Exactly. A more talented, bigger and better coached team....against our precious Div III coach and his cadre of Patriot/CAA recruits....lol.

Turgeon's hot seat is warmer than DP's... he cannot coach.. but yes they are longer and better talented than us in our deepest team ever... this is the worst Terps team in like 8 years on paper
