"I almost forgot mason had a team"
I'll be utterly shocked if we don't lose this game by 20+. Sad times at George Mason, tough to see any sort of light at the end of the tunnel.
I remember both the Towson and UMD examples. In both cases, the teams left way too late.
Towson left campus at 3pm for a 7pm tip with a storm coming. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/news/story?id=6066086
I think we left Fairfax around 4pm for a 7pm tip in College Park. That was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, which I think is even worse than the following day for traffic around here.
If only I could forget.
The coach used his trench coat to try to get the bus tire unstuck. We made fun of that for years.
I'd take Pat Kennedy over frumpy Dave trench coat or no trench coat.
I wouldn’t. He had an nba guy in his team and still couldn’t win.
Paulsen had multiple fringe NBA players and couldn’t win.
that's how much i dislike Frumpy Dave...
A, in a conference that had multiple NBA players in it. And, B, Gary Neal was way more polished than either of our G-League players.

I know mason is lousy.. but I like this..
Isn't this the same poster who guaranteed on this board that Mason would finish 12-6 in conference?
"this team will finish 12-6. Book it.'

nice NOVA guy who supports VCU and Mason. nice guy for sure but sipped too much Koolaid
To be fair, January 5 was before Kier injured his foot again, so being optimistic at that point is understandable.
What nonsense are you dreaming up now?
he made Jim's optimism look realistic. I don't want to bump his posts but I am pretty sure he said Oduro would give Santos-Silva a hard time with stifling defense
G League is technically fringe NBA although I disagree with DJ3 on this one. Very large stretch
No, this is what he said:
"I am surprised to see that Oduro has been starting over calixte this season. I always thought Calixte provided the muscle and post defense to contend with bigger teams and allow wilson to protect the rim.
What is Oduro doing that enhances the Mason defense?"

Listen, Duncan is a nice guy. Very supportive and thoughtful with his comments. I like him. But being a big supporter of VCU *and* Mason basketball is the clearest evidence of pre-crime I've ever seen. It pains me to say this, but lock him up and throw away the key.
