https://twitter.com/bygeorgegmu/status/1228148663265959938?s=21 A fan sent me this earlier today and I’ve watched it 400 times, never gets old. Hat tip to this Patriot.
VCU losing to Richmond 24-40 at the half. It’s the fault of the Refs again. https://www.vcuramnation.com/forums...ks-in-the-rc-thread.18642/page-16#post-949158
John Feinstein actually did a column after the VCU game: https://www.washingtonpost.com/spor...a5a554-4f7f-11ea-bf44-f5043eb3918a_story.html
How about Jenkins' comment "In this league, we're everyone's super bowl." Eff you, kid. You've got a top 10 team in the league and another flirting with top 25. Where are you?
Richmond must have been VCUs Super Bowl ......... 1990's super bowl that is - where almost all of them were blowouts. The spiders ass raped them by 30.
Yes except for the Bills/Giants one that ended 20-19 with the famous wide right missed field goal by Buffalo.
And it keeps slip-slop-slidin' down the gutter. VCU now four – 4 – straight losses (the latest at UMass) since we knocked them off. TEE-f*ckin'-HEE.
I'm going to go ahead and give credit to Mason for derailing VCU's season two years ago, too, when we beat them at their place. That's two out of the last three years. Can we do this again next year (even go for the double kill) and we can start talking about the program, not season, killing Patriots?
This is not about being rational, Pablo, this is about fandom and all of its selective reasoning and unreasonable hatred.
VCU’s Jenkins has left their program due to personnel health reasons. Sounds like the door is still open for him to return later this season to finish up his senior year. https://twitter.com/jonrothstein/status/1233804735599251458?s=21
VCU purchases land near The Diamond for $11M to house a new athletics village: https://commonwealthtimes.org/2020/03/26/vcu-athletics-buys-land-for-new-athletics-village/
Sounds like we don't need to move our facilities off campus to make space for academic buildings? But I also don't see us aggressively trying to get funding to renovate our soccer stadium (which includes giving track and field its own space), baseball stadium, basketball arena, or finish our basketball training facility (the RAC expansion). Lots of athletics infrastructure that needs to get done.
VCU is all-in on athletics and has a dominant position with donors and corporate sponsors in the Richmond market. Mason is and always will be meh about athletics and is an afterthought in the DC market. Brad is doing what he can, but he’s basically got one arm tied behind his back.
