Jollay wins Jollay wins!!! Look at the God of God's now!
Unless you're Mason . . . we beat ourselves repeatedly
Yeah or beating a team above 150 in the NET lol
AJ has gotten worse and worse and seems to not care anymore.
Bench his ass and just start Henry. Can't get any worse.
Meanwhile, George Papas is 11th in the country in 3pt% and tops in their conference.
Monmouth vs Manhattan is on the U now. Douglas Stanley doesn't start, but guess who does!! Yep, the shooter DP didn't think was a good enough shooter.
Impressed with Manhattan coaching, energy etc.
Still no JDS.
Edit...jds is in...bricked first two treys to honor his former coach.
We really stink. Two players I want around for next year Miller and Kolek. Scrap the rest and just start over.
You left out a few 'reallys"
AJ is so soft on offense...so many terrible fadeaways and off balance shots to avoid contact. His Mason career has been such a waste of athletic ability. Other than Kolek and Greene how can we recruit so many guards that don’t know how to shoot a basketball?
Greene is a career 40.3% shooter overall and just 30.7% from 3. Not exactly the second coming of Steph Curry.
Javon is one of the few guys who busts his ass on defense. Streaky as hell shooting but I’d take him on my team any day.
He’d be a great 6th man on a good team. And that’s part of our problem three of our starters should be the rotation players off the bench. Greene 6th, Kolek 7th, Oduro 8th. Give me a 1, 2, and 5 to go with Miller and AJ (no other players) and you’ve got something
How about making it to Saturday of the conference tournament...
DP on Henry after the game -
“"He's battled some injuries so he wasn't available. So he's been out a little bit, but part of it is just the physicality and the pace of the game. He's going to be a very very good player, and he's been working hard, and he's coachable. So, part of it is his continued improvement, part of it is he's playing behind guys like Josh and AJ and Jordan who are scoring the ball for us and rebounding and stuff like that. He's close to playing but part of the deal is playing a game like this, a game on the road, he's just not quite there but he's really close, I would say."
What a nightmare...
Battling injuries I understand, but when you're losing by almost 20 who cares? Like what is the difference between losing by 9 or losing by 15 once the game is out of reach?
edit: I should edit this to say that unless there is a deep change in Paulsen's philosophy on offense and defense, I don't think it matters if the freshman are playing or not. Henry, Frazier, Polite, and Kolek are not set up for success playing the way Paulsen wants them to play...so development? It's not going to happen.
Watching Boise State vs. Nevada. Mason would definitely struggle against the top of the Mountain West.
Steve Alford - head coach of Nevada. Did not know that.
We lost to Fresno State a few seasons ago when they finished 4th.
Hell, Paulsen has a losing record against Georgia Southern and Vermont.
Both Nevada and Boise State had stud transfers. Paulsen seems like a good guy, but has Mason had any of these during his 6 years?
We've only ever had one transfer player while he's been here and he wasn't exactly a stud...so that's a pretty easy answer there.
