    He spoke with Paulsen at some point. With Fischer coming, it certainly is a possibility. I don't think he'd take the DoBo job...he'd be better off continuing to coach with Team Takeover. No coaching with the DoBo job.

    Only ties are as an assistant with Team Takeover. Not saying Tony wouldn't do a good job though. Wonder if the Mason gig would pay more than High Point. Maybe he should talk to Ahmad.

    That's not a bad team to have ties with, that's for sure (current roster includes players from Gonzaga, DeMatha, Montrose Christian and Paul VI). But keep in mind, Tony grew up in the area (Tacoma Park), played at Hagerstown J.C. and GMU. He's player coached in the Kenner Summer League.

    I'm sure his ties run much deeper than you are suggesting.

    Is he ready? I'm not sure. But if we are looking for local recruiting ties, we could probably do worse than someone with ties to our Final Four team and who was an Olympic athlete.
