Honestly I think if they say 3k is the cap and the pull the adds off the corners any season ticket holder who wants tickets should probably be able to get a full season package. The patriot club plaque was looking extremely slim last year.

Agreed. Plus I'll bet there will be a drop in season ticket holder in general this year for a number of reasons. Fans tired of the Paulsen Regime, Corona Virus recession impact and don't have the financial means this year, people avoiding large crowds. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a 30%+ decrease in total season tickets this year even if season tickets are even offered.

"Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings close facilities after Titans players test positive for the coronavirus

The Tennessee Titans have closed their facilities until Saturday after three players and five team personnel members tested positive for the coronavirus, the NFL announced Tuesday.

The eight new positive tests have been confirmed after additional testing, a source told ESPN's Kevin Seifert. Those who tested positive have been asymptomatic as of Tuesday morning, a source told ESPN's Dan Graziano.

No decision has yet been made about Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Nashville, a source told ESPN. The Vikings' next game is Sunday at the Houston Texans.

In a statement, the Steelers said: 'We have been in contact with the NFL regarding the positive COVID-19 tests with the Titans. We have been informed to proceed with our game preparations for Sunday's game until we are informed otherwise. We will provide more information when available.'"

This tournament will be an incredible kickoff event to the 20-21 season. Remember: Saint Louis and Boise State should be two of the best non-power conference teams in college basketball.

One of the biggest complaints I’ve heard talking to schedulers in college hoops: “MTE’s (multi-team events) are screwing up everything. The NCAA should have just made it 27 games. Period. Would have made it so much easier.”

    https://goexplorers.com/news/2020/9...a-salle-and-explorer-athletics-community.aspx:

"We are writing to share difficult news: Today, the University's Board of Trustees approved a recommendation to reduce the number of La Salle's intercollegiate athletics teams from 25 to 18 at the conclusion of this academic year.

This action affects the following programs: baseball; men's swimming and diving; men's tennis; men's water polo; softball; volleyball; and women's tennis. These programs will compete during this academic year, assuming conditions permit and if it is deemed safe to do so. This action will provide a better overall experience for La Salle's remaining student-athletes and create a more sustainable environment for the University's athletics department. This measure better aligns us with members of the Atlantic 10 Conference, which—on average—sponsor 19 intercollegiate athletics teams. The NCAA average is 18 teams.

Simply put, La Salle Athletics cannot continue to sponsor 25 varsity sports at a competitive level. Sustaining an athletics department that offers more Atlantic 10-sponsored teams than any other in the conference at a university positioned in the conference's bottom-quartile in enrollment is not feasible. The rising costs associated with providing a high-quality Division I student-athlete experience and the financial challenges incurred by the department contributed to this decision. The impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic further accelerated the need for this change."

    https://www.inquirer.com/college-sp...e-cuts-sports-baseball-softball-20200929.html:

"In survival mode as an institution, La Salle had tried adding sports to bring in more students. Water polo, for instance, was part of that effort. Women’s water polo will continue, along with women’s swimming and diving."

Big Ten coaches as a group favor a 20-game league schedule, per source. There was a little momentum for a 22-league slate, but told its likely going to be 20.

MEAC proposal, per source: 16 game schedule splitting it into north/south. Only playing division games, which would mean teams play other teams in their division four times.

"The Pittsburgh Steelers-Tennessee Titans game will not be played during Week 4 following two additional positive coronavirus tests among the Titans, the NFL announced Thursday.

According to a statement from the NFL, one additional Titans players and one personnel member tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. https://www.cbssports.com/college-b...voidance-of-contact-tracing-quarantine-rules/:

"In just over three weeks' time, college football has helplessly watched as 22 of its 94 games were postponed or canceled due to COVID-19. That's an eye-catching 23.4% of its schedule. Remember, four of the 10 FBS leagues (Big Ten, Pac-12, Mountain West, MAC) haven't played a game. The SEC just started this past weekend.

College basketball's schedule, 57 days out from the planned Nov. 25 start, could be at even greater risk. If the sport were to have a cancellation/postponement rate that matched college football's first month, hoops would easily see more than 100 games impacted with a high percentage of them being cancellations as there isn't one game per week per team and there won't be makeup dates in the nonconference portion of the schedule.

College football has some built-in advantages to stave off coronavirus-related schedule suspensions. Mainly, teams are so large that they can practice in groups to maintain roster stability (reducing contact-tracing requirements). Another benefit: College football teams can practice outside where the coronavirus is believed to be much less likely to spread than in a contained environment. College basketball, on the other hand, practices indoors with small, hyper-interactive rosters.

'Absolutely one of the biggest challenges we have in front of us: to figure out how to have a competitive season in any sport without major, major stoppages,' Oregon State director for sports medicine Doug Aukerman said Friday in an NCAA video.

Aukerman was speaking hours after the NCAA released its "Core Principles of Resocialization of Collegiate Basketball". That landed with a gloomy thud Friday afternoon. The NCAA's COVID-19 Medical Advisory Group reminded everyone what should happen if even one player tests positive during the season. The protocols therein are being viewed across college basketball as existential threat to the integrity of the upcoming season. If you missed it -- and many did -- you can find this passage buried in the document:

'A typical basketball team has 15 players, all of whom typically train on a single basketball court at the same time in an enclosed space. Generally speaking, it is expected that the total number of Tier 1 individuals within a team would approximate 25-30. If any Tier 1 individual becomes infected, schools should consider quarantining the entire team, including coaching staff and other essential personnel who are part of Tier 1, for 14 days, provided determinations around who must be quarantined are ultimately the jurisdiction of applicable public health officials. At present, there is not a recommendation for consideration of testing out of quarantine.'

'Tier 1' applies to anyone in suspected or proven close contact. Anyone sharing a gym, around basketball practice day after day, is Tier 1.

'It's really the most important issue, especially in a sport like basketball,' chief NCAA medical officer Brian Hainline said in the aforementioned video.

That final sentence is key, too. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does not currently endorse the idea that someone put into quarantine due to contact tracing should be cleared to interact with the public before 14 days, even if negative COVID-19 tests are provided by that person day after day after day."

    https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id...nts-enhanced-protocols-teams-exposed-covid-19:

"The NFL implemented a series of enhanced protocols Thursday for teams to follow after exposure to the COVID-19 virus, as it navigates an outbreak among the Tennessee Titans and potential transmission to the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings, who have not yet returned a positive test result after playing the Titans last Sunday, used the protocols after reopening their facility and practicing Thursday.

The enhanced protocols include two daily tests; one is the traditional PCR (nasal swab) test and the other is a POC (point of care) test that returns faster results. All Tier 1 and Tier 2 employees must test negative on the POC test before entering the facility.

PPE and face masks must also be worn by all players and coaches on the practice field and gloves must be worn by everyone except quarterbacks on their throwing hand. All meetings must be virtual and there will also be daily deep cleanings of the facility. The protocols also include a prohibition on team or player gatherings away from the facility.

NFL chief medical officer Allen Sills will determine whether and for how long the post-exposure protocols must be followed. Whether they are exposed or not, all NFL employees were urged by the memo to 'act as if every person you come into contact with has a COVID infection and take appropriate precautions.'"
