    You could make the argument that SD State is a better program these days and this isnt really an upset. But it does qualify for this thread

    Athletics are the new crusades after all, and Liberty has more money then . . . well . . . God. Their endowment is about 14 times George Mason's, with ~100,000 students online to boot.

    I also imagine construction in Lynchburg is quite a bit cheaper and easier to achieve.

    They definitely have made athletics a priority though, bending their own values numerous times to do so.
