exciting new transfers, 3 star recruits and a coach that people can look forward to progressing... hmm
Haha- yeah I have no idea what the 100k is specifically for, but I suspect Jenn Montgomery has some more donors with money to work with since its GW and all. I have a friend who always said people are very meh about GW sports, and it sounded like it was more meh than even we are about Mason sports. That said, it's a nice goal to achieve for them. Hopefully this Be a Patriot campaign can raise some good money. The donor wall is growing slowly but surely for what it's worth.
https://gomason.com/news/2020/10/20/mason-athletics-announces-be-a-patriot-fundraising-campaign.aspx @mkaufman1 am I reading this correctly that there will be no donation requirement for season tickets? And in lieu of my annual patriot club donation I should donate to this instead?
Yeah- that is what they would like people to do. Instead of seat donations since there wont be season tickets most likely, just donate what you normally give to this campaign.
I'm sure that they are trying to help justify the cost of a season ticket with the gold room being unfeasible this season.
From what I have heard across the board, there won't be season tickets this year and it'll be a game by game situation. I agree that there won't be a gold room.
Good to know, I’ll go ahead and set up my donation next week. Hopefully I can set up a recurring the same I do for my season tickets. Hope to hear some sort of decision on fans at games in the next few weeks so we can start to plan accordingly. Still don’t think the fans at games thing is really up to Mason though.
I believe they need clearance from the state first, then the university and the AD can decide what they're willing to allow.
