"Tre Mitchell, UMass: This is the most talented prospect to roll through Amherst since Marcus Camby. Mitchell averaged 22 points and 8.9 rebounds in his final 10 games of last season as a freshman while shooting an astronomical 50.8 percent from the field. Facts are facts: Mitchell could play anywhere in the country."

"Ibi Watson, Dayton: What a difference a year makes. After thriving as a “sixth starter” during Dayton’s 29-2 run through last season, Watson will now seamlessly slide into Dayton’s starting lineup. Expect Anthony Grant to regularly feature Watson, who averaged 10.1 points last season in just 22.5 minutes."

Wonder how they pulled that one off? They'll lose all three of those games badly.

By the way, noticed the AAC released their preseason rankings/all-conference teams. Anyone know when/if the A-10 plans to do that?

This is an AWESOME opportunity for Saint Joseph’s. This young team will get to do a lot of learning and growing very early on!

Sources: St. Joe's is finalizing an agreement to be the fourth team in the Fort Myers MTE.

Win or lose, those are the games that I want my team to play.

St joes won’t be nearly as bad as a lot of you think. Yes they will lose these games but I’m not banking on them not being around 7-10 in A10 this year with what one senior that matters?

“But P5s have no reason to include schools like George Mason in these MTEs”

-these boards, while St Joe’s, who is comparable to us in every way, is out there landing in one of the best MTEs to come together this year.

Mason and st joes a hell of a lot closer than anyone on here willing to admit. Billy Lange has a nice little thing going for him with Daly, Bishop, Funk, Brown and Foster.....plus a 3 star true freshman in Tracey.

    https://collegehoopstoday.com/index...nder-the-radar-freshmen-for-the-20-21-season/:

"Samuel Mennenga, Davidson: Bob McKillop has frequently gone to his international ties to fill Davidson’s roster and he went to New Zealand to pluck Mennenga. The 6-8 lefty should be one of the top freshmen in the Atlantic 10 this season and could emerge as an X-Factor for the Wildcats.

Ace Baldwin, VCU: Many college basketball fans aren’t completely familiar with Baldwin yet, but that will change. The 6-foot freshman should have an immediate impact for VCU this season, as he looks to form a potentially potent back court combination with sophomore Bones Hyland."

Isn’t Kellen Grady a point guard? I’m assuming that’s why Russell, Gilyard or Crutcher aren’t on this list.

Pretty sure JAG was the pt guard all the years Grady has been at Davidson.

Wasn’t he a point forward? It’s like when Cam was the point guard, but the offense ran through Hancock.

Are you kidding me? This is why I often question if you actually watch games. If he’s a point forward than Marquise was a point center

    https://www.cbssports.com/college-b...ith-teams-no-357-201-ahead-of-2020-21-season/:

    "Preseason rankings: Nos. 201-357

    204. Fordham: Few schools have a true hot-seat situation heading into the season in the time of COVID, but how can Fordham not be one of them? Jeff Neubauer is 60-97 in five years and FU won nine games last season.

    207. Saint Joseph's: This is a low ranking for SJU fans, but those same fans know the Hawks only won six games last season, so being the 207th best team in the sport would be a nice step forward."

Sweet, #143 in the cbs rankings, comfortably ahead of #144 Delaware and #150 Towson.

Way ahead of GW at #185 who we might beat this year...or might not.
